Leonidas Sarantopoulos was born in 1986 in Athens. In 2004 he graduated from the Experimental Music School of Pallini and entered the Department of Music Studies of the Ionian University. He studied Jazz flute next to saxophonist Dimos Dimitriadis, as well as next to Vassilis Rakopoulos and George Kontrafouris. He participated many times at the Summer Music Academy of the Ionian University giving concerts and participating in seminars with outstanding international jazz musicians.
Since his graduation in 2010 he lives and works in Athens. In February 2011 he recorded his first personal album Black Mamba, which is going to be released soon.
