Born in Jerusalem in 1982, Roy Amotz is a soloisty and a vivid chamber musician, as well as a guest player in various Ensembles and Orchestras throughout Israel and Europe.
Dedicated to promoting new classical music in Israel, Roy is a regular guest in the “Israel Contemporary Players” and a member the young and acclaimed “Ensemble Meitar” – founded with the objective of performing and recording contemporary Israeli chamber music. In addition, Roy hasa founded two unusual Trios “the Jerusalem Harp Trio” and “Trio Vis”, the latter recently winning the international Boris Pergamenchikow Chamber Music Competition in Berlin.
Roy performed as a soloists with Orchestras in Israel and Germany, and has cooperated with the Stuttgarter Kammerorchester, Israel Opera Orchestra and the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. From September 2007 to July 2008 he has engaged in the Radio Orchestra of South Germany in Freiburg.
A participant of various international music festivals, in the USA and Europe, among them the International Bach Academy in Stuttgart and the Luzern Music Festival, Roy has been a member of the Verbier Festival Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra since 2005, with which he toured Europe, Asia, Australia and South America.
