FINALS OF THE 6TH PANHELLENIC PIANO COMPETITION OF THE THESSALONIKI PIANO FESTIVAL
Organizer: THESSALONIKI CONCERT HALL IN COLLABORATION WITH THE THESSALONIKI PIANO FESTIVAL, UNDER THE AUSPICES OF THE STATE CONSERVATORY OF THESSALONIKI
PROGRAMME
W.A. Mozart: Concerto No. 20 in D minor, KV 466 (1st movement)
L.v. Beethoven: Concerto No. 3, in C minor, Op. 37 (1st movement)
E. Grieg: Concerto in A minor, Op. 16 (1st movement)
The Competition is targeted at talented young pianists up to 27 years of age and is carried out in three cycles. During the first two cycles, the participants perform solo recitals with works of their choice, while during the third cycle, which is held at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall, the qualified finalists of the Competition will perform with the Symphony Orchestra of the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki. In addition to the monetary prizes, the award recipients will also be offered the opportunity to perform in concerts at prestigious venues in Athens, Thessaloniki as well as other regions of Greece.
