CHOIREOGRAPHY - THE POWER OF MOVEMENT IN CHOIRS!
Organizer: THESSALONIKI FRIENDS OF MUSIC SOCIETY IN COLLABORATION WITH THE THESSALONIKI CONCERT HALL
The Thessaloniki Friends of Music Society in collaboration with the Thessaloniki Concert Hall is organizing a two-day choral workshop under the auspices and with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture. Participating in the workshop are the children and youth choirs of the Thessaloniki Friends of Music Society, along with three distinguished guest choirs. Conductors, music educators, music teachers and singers are also invited to take part. The workshop will be led by the renowned Dutch choreographer, musician and choir movement coach Panda van Proosdij, a specialist in choral movement coaching. Panda will be presenting her method, Voice and Physique, for the first time in Greece, a method which is about supporting the voice by creating a good physical awareness. It contains 3 essential components: energy, concentration and focus. Through a variety of dynamic exercises, Panda aims to connect these three components towards a realization of this unity while rehearsing and performing.
