The programme includes works composed over the past twenty-five years. It can be described as a multi-genre program, given that the works that will be performed, although written within a relatively limited time frame, reflect different aesthetic trends, primarily developing between modernism, modalities, neotonality and musical elements loaned from the traditional music of Latin America, Hungary, Spain, and Greece. As a whole, the works are characterized by lyricism and virtuosity, showcasing the sound and timbral potential of the instruments for which they have been composed, while highlighting the virtuosic flexibility of the soloists. The composers of the works come from Brazil, Costa Rica, Spain, the Netherlands, Hungary, Greece, and the USA. The works are composed for and dedicated to Athanasios Zervas.
