MARIA CALLAS GALA

The Organization of the Thessaloniki Concert Hall, the TSSO and the NTNG jointly honour the 100th anniversary of Maria Callas’ birth with a lavish opera gala including, among other works, some well-known arias that the absolute prima donna of the 20th century performed in her own unique way, thus becoming synonymous with them. Three acclaimed Greek sopranos and the extraordinary Greek conductor with a successful international career, Giannis Pouspourikas, present a rich opera gala featuring some of the most famous arias in the repertoire.
The program begins with the short theatrical piece "An Interview with Maria Callas”, featuring the actors from the NTNG, Kleio-Danai Othonaiou and Christos Stylianou.
