ECM - GUIDELINES IN SOUND AND MUSIC FROM 1969

ECM is a top international music label that determined the way we listen to music, redefining the art of improvisation in all its aspects. The discography company, which boasts over 1,500 recordings and has a capacity of over 600 artists, chose Thessaloniki for the venue of its annual meeting of representatives and artists.
This already important choice, is even more significant given that the event is taking place in 2019, the year in which ECM celebrates 50 years of creative growth in contemporary music.
Although most of the conference will not be open to the public, it will nevertheless act as a boost and inject new life into the city, which is the first in southern Europe to have been chosen for this particular event. The conference will be attended by the founder and producer of ECM, Manfred Eicher, perhaps the most prominent figure in music production today, and who was recently made an Honorary Fellow of the London Royal Academy of Music.
The conference will be accompanied by another important event - a concert-triptych of the company's new artists.
