The Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra and the Thessaloniki Concert Hall Organisation are welcoming 2016 together with a colourful gala consisting of beloved waltzes and cheery polkas, arias and overtures of renowned operas, as well as celebratory melodies, aiming at spreading cheer and optimism at the dawn of the new year.
The programme includes a meeting between some of top lyrical composers from the homeland of opera and ‘The Waltz King’, always necessary on this day, as well as composers who wrote operettas or Christmas songs, giving us a taste of a true celebration of music.
