The Baritone Akis Lalousis was born in Athens. He studied at the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki in the class of professor Katerina Karatza, graduating in 1999. Masterclass studies with professors Marlena Malas and Spiro Malas (Juilliard School of Music - Manhattan School of Music), under scholarship of the “Alexandros S. Onassis Foundation of Athens”. He took part in masterclass seminars with Gabriella Ravazzi on Italian Opera, with Ulrich Rademacher on Lied and Oratorio. More over, he participated in the summerschool Chautaqua-U.S.A., with professors Marlena Malas and Spiro Malas specializing on technique, interpretation and repertoire. In 1996 he won the first prize in the “F. Nakas” competition in Thessaloniki. The same year, he represented Greece in Alexandria of Egypt in the meeting of the conservatories of the Mediterranean (E.C.U.M).

Martinou, I Vespri Sicilliani - La Traviata - Rigoletto by G.Verdi, Gianni Schicchi - La boheme by G. Puccini, L’Italiana in Algeri - Le Comte Ory - Il Barbiere di Siviglia by G.Rossini. He sang in worldwide premieres many music works from Greek and foreign composers: Ximeroma by D. Lialios, The Shades of Love by David Blake and the Opera Chamber Pouskin by F. Τsalahouris. In “Athens Music Hall” he sang from the circle of songs by Μikis Theodorakis Τhe song of dead brother, Politia Α, Politia Β. In Royal Theater of Thessaloniki he interpretated Songs of Wayfaren by G. Mahler.
In Thessaloniki Concert Hall he sang the music fairytale Αnatoli by Μ. Κalomiris, part of the festivities of the Cultural Olympiad.
Participation in tragedy Κonstantinos o Palaiologos by Μ. Κalomiris as part of the festivities of “Thessaloniki Cultural Capital of Europe 1997” in the State Theater of Northern Greece and in 2001 in the Festival of Athens in “Odeon Herodou Attikou”.
Apart from the Opera works, the repertoire extends to Religious music: Oratorio Agios Dimitrios, Kirillos and Methodios, Alexander the Great’s years of youth by Ν. Αstrinides during the “Dimitria Festival”, Oratorio De Nöel Saint Saëns, Requiem d-moll & Te Deum by Α. Bruckner, Messe G-Dur του F. Schubert, Requiem op. 48 by G. Faure, Cantate Tafos by S. He performed as a solist with various orchestras: Symphony Orchestra of Prague, Philarmonic Orchestra of Robert Schumann, Νew Bulgarian Symphonic Orchestra, Belgrade Opera Orchestra, Gerevan Opera Orchestra, Philarmonic Orchestra of Hellenic Radio Television, State Orchestra of Athens, Color Orchestra of Athens, State Orchestra of Thessaloniki, Municipal Symphony Orchestra of Thessaloniki, Chamber Orchestra “Feminarte” – Athens, Orchestra of Beijing.
