Devid Cecconi, after completing his studies in Florence, won first prize in the 'Battistini' Singing Competition.
He sang Rigoletto in Trieste, conducted by Oren; Il Tabarro in Modena, Piacenza and Ferrara; La Forza del Destino, Rigoletto, Nabucco in Genoa; Pagliacci and Aida at the Terme di Caracalla; Rigoletto and Madama Butterfly in Salerno and Giovanna d'Arco in Parma conducted by Bruno Bartoletti.
In past seasons, we recall: Rigoletto in St. Margarethen, Leipzig, Bologna, Torre del Lago, Seoul, Liege; Nabucco in Masada, Palermo and Leipzig; La Bohème in Florence and Toulon; Gianni Schicchi in Lecce; Pagliacci in Verona (Filarmonico); Attila in Trieste; Madama Butterfly in Palermo and Lecce; La Traviata in Hannover; Un Ballo in Maschera in Seoul, Cagliari, Kiel and Darmstadt; Falstaff in Wiesbaden; La Bohème and Aida in Gozo; Giovanna d'Arco for the opening night of the season of the Teatro alla Scala (conducted by Chailly); Lucia di Lammermoor in Trieste; Puccini's Trittico in Ferrara; Cavalleria Rusticana and La Ciociara (Tutino) in the world premiere in Cagliari; Tosca in Rome and Cavalleria Rusticana in Florence.
More recently he took part in: Tosca in Cagliari, Tel Aviv, Rome, Jesi and Torre del Lago; Andrea Chénier in Trieste and Toulon; Aida and Nabucco in Split; Pagliacci in Florence; Rigoletto in Leipzig and Modena; Adriana Lecouvreur in Genoa; Nabucco in Split; Cavalleria Rusticana and Ernani in Cagliari; La Fanciulla del West in Pavia and Brescia; Giovanna d'Arco and Un ballo in maschera in Modena and Reggio Emilia; La Bohème in Toulon; Pagliacci in Trieste; Simon Boccanegra in Parma; Adriana Lecouvreur in Catania; Andrea Chenier in Cagliari and La Ciociara by Tutino at the Wexford Opera Festival.
Plans include: Madama Butterfly in the Circuito Lombardo and Rigoletto in Stuttgart.
