Composer, orchestra and choir director, pianist and teacher, Portuguese, born in Lisbon but raised in Campo Maior, Alentejo - Portugal, he did most of his musical studies in Spain. He has composed for various instrumentalists and ensembles from all over the world, from Greece, Italy, France, Spain, the United States, Brazil, Argentina, Israel, Cyprus, Mexico, Uruguay, Poland, Finland, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Germany, Portugal... He is a strong supporter of Portuguese poetry. But he has worked with most Romance languages. In 2012, he composed the Cantata "Mar Falante - Mer Parlante", bilingual Portuguese-French libretto of the Portuguese poet Inez Andrade Paes. In an effort to globalize, he composed more poems in English, including an opera "Splintered Flashes" by German librettist Michael Herrschel.  His catalog contains more than 400 works. Havin harmonized and composed more than 100 works.
The music tries to represent the ancient Greek Epithetón. Because he thinks the Greek Ancient Lyre has a very similitude to the Portuguese Guitar, the traditional Greek music with the traditional Portuguese music, he wrote a suite with seven mouvements, based on ancient and modal music, as well as on traditional Portuguese music including the Fado.
