Sinafi Trio was created by three Greek women musicians who met in Istanbul in 2014. As a group, they grew inside the meyhane and the bars of Istanbul. They listened to and learned from the local music stories, the music wealth of the place, hearing it's sensitivity and complexity. They've won recognition in short while. Fotini, who is kanun player of group, has performed in the Djelem movie which was directed by Tony Gatlif who is world-renowned director.
Their album İHO is a record of some of stories about songs of woman, as seen through their own filter of personal and intimate stories, their own aesthetic perception.
With their music they bring to our ears all the stories that IHO (Echo) of Anatolia has once listened to. As if Iho told them the stories, as if they listened to her...
