Romanian National Symphony Orchestra

Created on the basis of an unique artistic and educational program founded in 2008 by its Artistic Director and famous cellist Marin Cazacu, the Romanian National Symphony Orchestra assembles the brightest musicians from Romania for a unique creative experience, in the common pursuit of musical excellence. Touring regularly at leading venues throughout Europe, it has earned a reputation for delivering performances at the highest level.
The orchestra’s concerts at the beautiful Romanian Athenaeum Hall and the George Enescu International Festival are regularly sold out and international tours have brought them to Vienna Konzerthaus, Berlin Philharmonic Hall, Berlin Konzerthaus, Auditorium Santa Cecilia in Rome, Gustav Mahler International Festival, Ravello International Festival, Grand Theatre de Provence, BOZAR Brussels Salzburg and Linz. Forthcoming tours will see them perform in France including the Philharmonie de Paris and to Switzerland, Spain and the United States.
From the very beginning, Cristian Mandeal has taken charge of training the orchestra. Under his leadership, the orchestra has became a Romanian success story.
The orchestra is part of The Romanian National Centre of the Arts, a department of the Ministry of Culture, and is also supported by Romanian Cultural Institute.
Besides the permanent commitment of Mº Mandeal, the Orchestra has also collaborated with other well - known conductors, as Michael Sanderling, Lawrence Foster, Kristjan Järvi, Domingo Hindoyan and Cristian Măcelaru, as well as with leading soloists including Pinchas Zukerman, Sarah Chang, David Garrett, Nobuyuki Tsujii or Elizabeth Leonskaja.
They have released several CD's: "Romanian classical treasures", "Trans-European Express" and "Lauda Concertata" with wide repertoire, from universal to modern composer, without forgetting the Romanian ones.
The Orchestra is considered as the "Jewel of the Romanian musical life" and one of the most successful musical projects in the last 30 years.
