Zamira Pasceri

After more than a decade of work in the Catalan company La Fura dels Baus, thanks to her experience in music, dance and theater, in recent years she has been engaged in the staging of operas and performances in theaters and festivals around the world.
In 2016 is the stage director, set designer and artistic director of the opera Noye's Fludde by Britten, with more than 300 artists on stage, carried out in the Opera Theatre of Almeria with Michael Thomas as a musical director.
In 2016 signs the stage direction, with Carlus Padrissa, of Samson and Dalila in the Palau de les Arts in Valencia with the musical direction of Roberto Abbado.
Recently she has been committed in the creation of Amor Brujo by La Fura dels Baus, represented in Spain, Italy and Brazil, in the Municipal Opera of San Paolo. Among the main productions of the company, she directs Carmina Burana in many theaters including the special version with the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, for over 6,000 people, with the musical direction of Zubin Mehta, as well as in many Theatres in South America, Europe and Asia.
With Trilogía Romana by Respighi works with George Prêtre, in the Festival of Caracalla with the musical direction of Charles Dutoit in the Caracalla Festival, as well as Ohrid Festival in Macedonia, the Santander Festival, the Teatro Comunale in Bologna Montecarlo Theater and San Pölten Musical Theater in Austria. With Orfeo ed Euridice by Gluck works in several Festivals and in Teatro Solís of Montevideo. In 2014 directs the Theatre workshop for the XXXVII of El Ejido Theatre Festival in that she is continuing her research on performing art.
Since 2008 participates in the creation, direction and choreography of numerous Fura dels Baus productions including: Global Rheingold in Duisburg, Show for Olimipic South American Games in Medellin-Colombia, Sky Art in Sao Paulo, O in Montevideo, Parsifal for Opera Theater in Linz, Tribute to Norman Foster at the British Museum in London.
Born in Italy, she graduated in piano at the Conservatory "G. Verdi "in Turin, he studied classical and contemporary dance. In Milan he studied dramatic art with A. Quasimodo with whom she works in many productions. He graduated at the Teatro Arsenale di Milano, under the direction of M. Spreafico. After the participation in the film Archangels, sponsored by the Piccolo Teatro of Milan, alongside Franco Branciaroli, she graduated with honors at the University DAMS of Turin with a thesis directed by F. Guizzi in ethnomusicology. She continued her studies at the International Univeristy of Catalunya with a Master in cultural managment.
Before works in stage direction, works as an actress and performer and collaborates with all the founders and directors of Fura dels Baus. From 2003, live in Barcelona where she worked on numerous productions including Dreams in flight to Singapore, Budapest and Perth, Australia. Prometheus Festival de Teatro Clásico-Mérida, Naumaquia in Beiteddine Festival-Beirut, Festival de Newcastle and several theater in Portugal, Germany, Taiwan, Italy, Spain and Morocco.
In the coming months she will be committed to Haydn's Creation for the new auditorium of the music of Paris, in Vienna, Hamburg and Ludwigsburg and She will direct an experimetal project on the Bach Cello Suite, in Germany.
