Kalliopi Mylaraki
Violin
Kalliopi Mylaraki was born in Thessaloniki, Greece. At the age of 6,she began violin studies being taught Kostas Vamvas in “Thessaloniki State Concervatory”. She graduated with merits in 1992.
In 1988 she won the 1st prize and distinction with Honors in sting competition of the “Union of Graduates in the Conservatories of Thessaloniki”.
She attended violin and champer music seminars in Greece and Austria being conducted by o. Pr. Christos Polyzoides, Dem. Polyzoides, Elisabeth Polyzoides –Baich, Martin Tuksa, Tatsis Apostolidis, George Demertzis. From 1992 to 1994 she was a permanent member of Thessaloniki State Orchestra and Municipality Orchestra of Thessaloniki. From 1994 to 1998 she studied in the “Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst “ in Graz, Austria in the class of o. Pr. Chr. Polyzoides.
Kalliopi Mylaraki performed in many concerts all over Greece, Austria an U.S.A. She participated in the “International Art Festival of Rhodes” as well as the International Festival “Dimitria” in Thessaloniki. Furthermore, she was a member of “Hellenic Camerata”. She formed the tango music group named “Milangeros”.
She had various recordings for the State Greek Radio and Television.
She has been teaching violin in “Pythagorio Conservatory” and “Conservatory of Northern Greece". She has been playing in “Thessaloniki state Symphony Orchestra“ as a permanent member since 2002.
