Upon receiving a scholarship from Berklee College of Music, Christos moved to Boston where he completed his B.A.. Then he moves to Manhattan to finish his M.A. at the Manhattan School of Music where he studied with acclaimed jazz vibraphonist Joe Locke. Christos found his personal voice when he established “Manhattan Vibes,” a band that has appeared at many of NYCs cutting edge venues including the Blue Note, the Jazz Standard, Smoke Jazz Club and Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola. Recent highlights include performances with the the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra and Wynton Marsalis at Lincoln Center in New York City, a US tour with the Charles Mingus Epitaph Band featuring bassist Christian McBride and conductor Gunther Schuller, recordings with vocalists Chaka Khan and Christy Baron, tours with Italian super star Jovanotti and a duo performance at Carnegie Hall with pianist Sergio Salvatore. He also sheared the stage with Ravi Coltrane, Antonio Sanchez, Joe Locke, Donny McCaslin and Mark Ledford among others.
