Baritone Samuel le Bigot began singing as a child, in children’s choirs and during his piano studies. He received his Diploma of Musical Studies with honors from the City of Paris, under the tutelage of Michèle Command. He participated in master classes with Rachel Yakar, Gabriel Bacquier, François Le Roux and André Lischké, among others, studied stage work with Mireille Larroche resulting in a degree from the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, and received a Master’s Degree in the Art of the Recital from the Sorbonne. His professional career began as a chorister at the Chorégies in Orange and the Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse. He regularly collaborates with the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, the Théâtre Musical de Paris and such prestigious ensembles as the Talents Lyriques directed by Christophe Rousset, the Musiciens du Louvre directed by Mark Minkowski, the Atelier Lyrique in Tourcoing directed by Jean-Claude Malgoire and the Chapelle Rhénane directed by Benoît Haller.
His roles include Papageno, the Second Soldier, the Second Priest, Guglielmo, the Count, Don Giovanni, Figaro, Tarabotto, Escamillo, Zuniga, Moralès, the Clock and the Cat, Ben and Pausanias, Gil. His repertoire also includes French and German art song, and oratorio. Besides his work is France, his interpretations have allowed him to sing in houses in Italy, Germany, Portugal, Finland, China, Spain and Belgium.
