Lyric tenor, Francois Lilamand joined Saint Maur des Fosses academy of music in the class of Yves Sotin (2004). François Lilamand was awarded the same year the jury's first prize.
He is regularly invited to sing one‐man oratorios, Magnificat de Bach, Messie de Haendel, Petite messe solennelle de Rossini, Missa di gloria de Puccini, Cantates de Janacèk, with well known chiefs. Among them: Françoise Macciochi, Daniel Bargier, Jérôme Kaltenbach and Claude Bardon.
On stage he played Lensky (Eugene Oneguine), Arlequin (der Kaiser von Atlantis), and Charlie (Mahagonny songspiel). He was Don José in the tragédie Carmen by Peter Brook under the direction of Stéphane Petit Jean and took part to Olivier Kaspar's modern opera creation: Le roi se meurt. More recently he played the role of Gastone (La Traviata) and Spoletta (Tosca) during the Clermont Ferrand lyric center shows directed by Amaury du Closel and staged by Pierre Thiron Vallet.
François Lilamand has been studying with Malcolm King since 2009.
