Jenny Daviet

Soprano
After having completed her studies in piano and voice at the Conservatoire de Poitiers, soprano Jenny Daviet joined the Centre de formation pour jeunes chanteurs, directed by Laurence Equilbey, under the auspices of the CRR in Paris.
She quickly showed a predilection for the repertoire of Mozart and debuted in 2010 in the role of Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), followed by Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), and First Lady (Die Zauberflöte). In 2011 she collaborated with the Orchestre les Siècles for a series of concerts where she sang extracts from Idomeneo, Le Nozze di Figaro, and concert arias, under the direction of François-Xavier Roth. In 2013, she performed a program of Mozart and Haydn with La Petite Symphonie, conducted by Daniel Isoir. She also finds herself at home with the Italian repertoire, performing Verdi and Puccini regularly, specifically the role of Annina (La Traviata), Musetta (La Bohème), Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi), and Soeur Geneviève (Suor Angelica).
In the realm of contemporary music, she has performed Bouchara by Claude Vivier with the ensemble Le Balcon, and in 2011 created Two Poems for Soprano and Orchestra by Renaud François with the Orchestre les Siècles. Her first season in the young artist program at the Opéra de Rouen, she performed the roles of Frasquita (Carmen), Blonde in an adaptation of Die Entführung aus dem Serail, La Visiteuse in Michel Fourgon’s world premiere Lolo Ferrari, in addition to Puccini’s Salve Regina and Fauré’s Requiem, bothunder the direction of Laurence Equilbey.
This season, you can find Ms. Daviet in the role of Annina with the Centre Lyrique d’Auvergne, in addition to singing the soprano solo in Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream under the direction of Laurence Equilbey. She will make debuts as the Second Woman (Dido and Aeneas) with Le Poème Harmonique, along with Serpetta (La Finta Giardiniera), under the direction of Andreas Spering.
