Noriko Urata

Soprano
Born in Tokyo, Japanese Soprano Noriko Urata finished Kunitachi College of Music where she earned a Master of Arts in Opera. In 1997, scholarship from France-Culture Gouverment allowed her to comes in Europe and continuimg at the Concervatoire National Academy of Music in Paris(CNSMP) where she obtained 1st Prize in 2001.
Her beginnings on stage made in 2001, with Rennes Opera, where she performed as Miss Wordworth in Albert Herring by Britten. Then in 2002, the ARCAL invited her as Roxana, for the world premiere La verita in cimento by Vivaldi, an opera that have been discovered lately, directed by Jean-Christophe Spinosi, a tour in France and in Italy.
During the year following , she sang many roles diferents in the Theatres and festvals international, Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro) with festival "Opera en Plein air” in France-Belgium, Paracha (Mavra) by Stravinsky,directed by Daniel Klajner with Marseille Theatre, Donzelle (Il Re Theodora in Venezia) by Paisiello with festival Radio France-Montpellier directed by Enrique Mazolla,  Fraü Fluth (Die Lustigen Weiber von Windsor) of Nicolaï, directed by Nicolaus Richter in Bayreuth Stadthall, and she performed also 1st Lady (The Magic Flute) directed by Giuliano Carella with Toulon Opera, Mimi (La Bohème) by Puccini with “Zomeropera” directed by Koen Kasselt. In 2007, she performed Pamina (The Magic Flute) with Opera North company. In 2008, after her appearance on television (FRANCE2),she sang Cio-Cio san (Madama Butterfly) with festival «5 etoiles Musique au coeur» in Antibes. After she performed Butterfly, her carrier brought her to the Lyrico-Spinto, in 2012, she was Tosca (Puccini) and Violetta (La Traviata) with Opera Nomade company directed by Amaury du Closel.
For the future, she sings Fiordiligi (Cosi fan tutte) with Opéra Nomade in 2014.
