Doctor by training, Pierre Thirion-Vallet begins his musical studies to the Academy of Clermont-Ferrand in 1985. He quickly obtains several Starting prices and Grand Prix in the national and international competitions of singing. He develops soloist's career which makes him approach the most diverse styles with a preference for the baroque music that he sings under the directions of Jean-Claude Malgoire, Antonio Florio, Gérard Lesne … Since 1997, Pierre Thirion-Vallet oversees the organization, for the lyric Center Clermont-Auvergne, the international Competition of singing and the lyric Season of Clermont-Ferrand with a distribution in Auvergne and in all France. At the same time his career of singer and art director, he likes the direction. Since 1997, he realized the following directions of opera and musical theater: Il Signor Bruschino, The inganno felice and The Barber of Seville of G. Rossini, Imeneo de G.F. Haendel, The song of Fortunio, Big Duchess de Gérolstein, The travel in the moon, The Fiddler, Tromb' al-ca-zar and Ba-Ta-Clan of J. Offenbach, The Tempest de H. Purcell, The Toreador of A. Adam, Festa napoletana, The Removal in the seraglio, Così fan tutte and Don Giovanni of Mozart, The Bat of J. Strauss, Carmen of G. Bizet, Traviata of G. Verdi, Tosca of G. Puccini and Walkyrie of R. Wagner. Among his projects, the following directions: The Telephone of Menotti, The human Voice of Poulenc, Rigoletto of Verdi. Pierre Thirion-Vallet is also the author of a biography dedicated to Maria Callas entitled: Maria Callas, the French years.
