Singer – Actor Panayotis Petrakis was born in Athens. He graduated from the “Veaki” School of Dramatic Art with honors. While being in drama school he started getting trained in classical singing alongside acclaimed baritone Costas Paschalis. He then went on to continue his training in musical theatre in New York as a Fulbright scholar.
While in New York, Panayotis stared in Copacabana, the musical as Rico, Camelot as Lancelot and Some Enchanted Evening, an evening with Rodgers and Hammerstein as principal singer.
Theatre credits include: Follow the Fellow who Follows a Dream (a review of American film musicals 1930-1960) as a principal singer and The Apaches of Athens (operetta by N. Chatziapostolou) as Kleon at the Greek National Opera, Saturday Night Fever as D J Monty, Funny Girl as Eddie, Mary, Mary as Bob McKellaway, Querelle de Brest as Querelle.
Concert credits include: Collaborations with acclaimed composer/song writer Mimis Plessas, with the Mikis Theodorakis Orchestra, with renowned singer Marinella, with composer/song writer/pianist Stefanos Korkolis as well as personal concerts throughout Greece.
Television credits include: Neighborhood kids (National Television 1), Ugly Maria (Mega), Secretes of Eden (Mega), Kings (Mega).
