Dimitris Dimopoulos started his career on stage as a stand-up comedian in 1996 as part of the comedy group "Comedy Nights". Since 2009, he has written and presented two solo shows which have been presented in theatres and bar-theatres in major greek cities. As an actor and singer, he has worked for several Opera for Children productions of the Greek National Opera, other theatre companies and dubbing companies. For the 2010-2011 season he wrote and directed the musical-comedy The Look. He has collaborated with the Beggars' Operas on several occasions: Trovatore (assistant director, 2008), Silence, the king is listening (actor & singer, 2009-2011), Evening songs (dramaturg, director 2011), Daughter of the storm (associate producer, upcoming production for the Athens Festival, June 2011). He worked as a translator for SDI Media (translations for subtitles) and Sierra Studios (translations for dubbing). Speaks greek, german, english, spanish and russian, holds a degree in Acting (Iasmos acting school), a degree in Tourism (Techincal Education Institution of Athens) and has graduated from the German School of Athens (Deutsche Schule Athen, 1994 Abiturient).
