The baritone Arkadios Rakopoulos was born in Athens. He first studied with Irini Tsakiri and Despina Kalafati, and later under the guidance of Marina Krilovic he graduated with highest degree diploma in Classical Singing and Drama from Athenaeum Conservatory. Earned diplomas in Counterpoint and Fugue with professor Andreas Karbone from Dimitris Mitropoulos Conservatory. His classical education also consists of opera training under Vaggelis Chatzisimos, Kostas Paskalis, Renato Bruson(Accademia Chigiana,Siena), Jose Van Dam (Accademia della Voce,Torino). Participated in J.S.Bach masterclass of Helmuth Rilling with Stuttgart Bach Academy Orchestra. He has collaborated with the Greek National Opera, Athens and Thessaloniki "Megaron", Athens Chamber Opera, Greek Radio Television, Athens Festival, Orchestra of Colours, Greek Composers Union, DEH, Beggars Opera, Danish National Symphony Orchestra. His repertoire includes opera, oratorio, lied, as well as a wide spectrum of international music and has sang in numerous productions, concerts and recordings. Among his performances are Carmina Burana (C. Orff), Stabat Mater (Pergolesi), Mass in B minor (J. S. Bach), Spanische Liebeslieder (R. Schumann), Zigeunerlieder (J. Brahms), "Abimelech" Samson et Dalida (C. Saint-Saëns), "Germont" La Traviata (G. Verdi), "Wächter" The Woman without a Shadow (R. Strauss), "Orestis" Oresteia (I. Xenakis), "Don Giovanni" Don Giovanni (W. A. Mozart), "Dandini" Cenerentola (G. Rossini), "Genio del'anello" and "Gran Ministro" Aladino e la Lampada Magica (N. Rota), Hymn to Love (F. Tsalachouris), "Foteinos" (D. Grapsas), "Ilissos" Three Rivers of Attica (M. Alexiadis), "Sotiris" Mother's Ring (M. Kalomiris).
