Born in 1981, Petros Papageorgiou had his first contact with music in 1992, when he attended the State Musical Conservatory of Ioannina. For the next four years he taught himself to play percussion instruments, and eventually he studied with the master musicians Lefteris Pavlou, Takis Barbas, and Vaggelis Karipis, at the same time completing his master’s degree in the field of geodetic applications. He has been a member of En Chordais since 2003.
Papageorgiou has contributed to numerous seminars with renowned percussionists, and he has performed with renowned Greek and foreign musicians and singers in concert halls throughout Greece and abroad. He has also made recordings and participated in various international festivals and events.
