THEATRE AT THE CONCERT HALL
EVA KOTANIDI: DALIDA, SINGING UNTIL THE END
Organizer: THESSALONIKI CONCERT HALL
The performance, which received rave reviews and thrilled and moved the audience, is a fascinating account of the life and career of Dalida, a unique personality who left her mark on the French and international music scene.
Dalida was a legendary diva, a unique performer, a sensational artist, the definition of a femme fatale, and a successful, sensual and luminous personality. On the other hand, Yolanda Christina Gigliotti was a traumatized woman, a dark loner who went through life moving from light to darkness and existed in her tragic contradictions. The twofold aspects of her personality, coexisting in the same body, unfold on stage and interact with the audience through her songs, confessions and reflections on her life and career.
The Greek-French actress and singer Eva Kotanidi reintroduces to the audience the iconic singer who sold millions of albums singing in over 7 languages, who made millions of people around the world adore her and left a strong mark on the chanson française and the international pop scene of the time. The script of the performance was written by Eva Kotanidi with the contribution of Efstathia Matzoufa, with Nektaria Giannoudaki as director and piano accompaniment by Pantelis Benetatos.
