Mikis Theodorakis undeniably was the most emblematic Greek composer of the second half of the 20th century and one of the most influential figures. While his songs and film music found their place in the lips and the hearts of Greek people, he also left behind prolific and significant work including operas, symphonies and remarkable works of chamber music, which he had great fondness for.
Six Greek soloists, Nevart Galilaia, flute and Thodoris Tzovanakis, piano, both from Thessaloniki, join forces with the members of the Athens String Quartet in an exploration or the lesser-known, albeit fascinating work of the great composer.
