THEATRE AT THE CONCERT HALL
MY BROTHER, AMADEUS
Organizer: THESSALONIKI CONCERT HALL
A purely “female affair”
The untold story of Amadeus Mozart's sister. A woman who was not allowed to fulfill her dream. A child prodigy who remained in obscurity. Pemi Zouni and Vana Pefani meet again, prompted by Nannerl Mozart. A woman of the 18th century and two contemporary women and artists create, plan and converse with both the past and the present, share their concerns, explore methods of narration and communication, while discovering similarities and differences regarding the role of women within the society as a whole.
The childhood years of Amadeus and Nannerl, their development, as well as the relationship they had with their father will be presented in a harmonious combination of Theater and Music, accompanied by Mozart's melodies performed on the piano by Dionysis Mallouchos. A musical-theatrical adventure that speaks of aborted desires, sibling relationships, “talent” and artistic arrogance, love, and loneliness. A deeply human story, known to very few, that concerns all people from adolescence through old age."
